Daisies

Daisy Top // Cotton On
Camisole
Leggings
Sandals // Vincci
Sling Bag
Bracelet // Lokai

Terribly sorry for the late update guys! Life got in the way and Jen had exams going on, but we're back now! :)

This was a really, really simple outfit I wore when I went out with friends. I was never one who is into crazy prints but this daisy print just too adorable I had to jump on the bandwagon. I especially like this one as it has enough of a colour pop yet toned down in a way?

To match with it, since the top part is already enough of an attention grabber, I went with plain old black leggings. Since the top was flowy, I wanted to accentuate my lower body instead so there is a balance instead of looking too flabby. Added on some dainty necklaces to contrast with the big daisy prints and I was good to go! :)

What do you guys think of the daisy print? Lemme know!

Casual Chic

Black top // Thrifted
Floral shorts // F Block
Black pointed flats // Zalora
Gold chained necklace // Juju Milky

I am not a huge fan of the floral pattern, well at least not those with big floral prints with at least 3-4 colours. But this floral shorts is something else! The small repeating blue floral patterns make it a pretty wearable piece, and not too difficult to pair too. I think one of the downsides of wearing floral pieces is that they are such statement and memorable pieces that people would start wondering if you have any other clothes when you wear it one too many times. That's definitely one of the reasons why I have less loud prints in my wardrobe, because they are less 'recyclable' than the basics. But of course having some prints can add a little variety to your collection of outfits. In my opinion, the trick is to find small and subdued repeating prints, and pairing them with basics!

For this week's outfit, I paired the cute floral shorts with a black button down top that I got from the thrift shop for RM 5! What a bargain. It reminded me of those 90s fashion style my mother used to wear, like tops with big, long collar and shoulder pads. This top gives off an almost formal but still casual look to the whole outfit. The shorts lean on the casual side while the pointed flats adds on to the formal side. For accessories, I added this gold chained necklace to go with the gold details on the flats.

I hope you enjoyed this post! And leave your comments down below on what was your best find from the thrift shop! //Jenny
