hue // monochrome styles: Grid

Hi guys! For this hue //  monochrome styles post we will be styling something that is definitely familiar for all of you: the grid print. It goes without saying that the grid print has got to be the most popular and fashionable print to covert for the past few months. It is a wonder how the print is so minimalist yet so eye-catching at the same time. No doubt it will join its plaid brother in the family of classical patterns one day.

That being said, do continue reading to see how the each of us has played around with this print!

Grid is such an easy piece to style as it goes with anything and it's such a statement by itself! Of course, I had to jump on the grid bandwagon as well. It is a super classic and minimalist print that I think everyone should have at least one piece of grid clothing in their wardrobe, if not more!

I paired this white chiffon, slouchy grid top with my edgy (and most comfortable!) high-waisted shorts. The black and white goes well with each other, and the studs on the shorts add a little character to the outfit. Paired this outfit with my high-heeled boots, and I'm feeling so much more chic already. Overall, I really like this outfit, and have been wearing them out tonnes just because it's easy, comfortable and stylish at the same time!

I knew I had to get a grid shirt when it was popping up everywhere. I mean, black, white and simplistic? It practically has my name written on it. I was looking for one with a longer length than usual and I was super stoked when I finally found this one. The fit and length suits me nicely and I think it is a perfect statement piece, yet still mellow enough to blend into any outfit.

With such a perfect piece in hand, I definitely wanted to up my game. Therefore, I paired it with these skinny jeans, adding on some colour to the outfit; and these gorgeous heels for an extra chic factor. The additional height also help balance out the longer length of the shirt to avoid making myself look shorter. I added some gold accessories here and there to complete the look and I really love the outcome. This is definitely something I would wear out and feel fabulous in because it's just so me.

So that's it from us for this post! We hope you like it and would love to know how you style your own grid pieces as well! Have a great week ahead :)
