Mixing Staples.

Top // G&H

Bangle // Cotton On
Tortoise-shell Sunnies // Taipei City Mall (Underground Streetshop), Taiwan

A button-down white shirt is definitely a wardrobe staple. And if you haven't got one, go get one now! No matter it being a crisp or flowy one, it is one of the most versatile piece ever. And if you ever face a style block (you know, like a writer's block), just throw on a white button-down top, a pair of your trustee jeans, a statement necklace and you're ready to go. You can dress it up for a night out with the friends, or dress it down for a casual date. It's a wardrobe must-have.

Here, I've paired up what I think are wardrobe staples, a white button-down flowy shirt, beige skinny pants, and a pair of tortoise-shell sunnies with gold hints. I cuffed up the sleeves of the top to give it a more relaxed yet structured feel, as the long sleeves can be a little heavy-looking and tend to drag down the whole outfit. The flowy top and tight skinnies complement each other from the fitting to the colors.

Hope you liked it! Have a good week ahead!

hue // monochrome

Hello beautiful people! :)

This is a new fashion blog managed by Jenny and YT. We are best friends (of 10 years!) with very very different styles. And so we thought, hey, why not join up to open up a blog as it is our interest to just showcase our daily outfits, improve our own dressing style, and maybe to inspire those who are reading this blog too. :)

We decided to name this blog hue//monochrome because these two words represent two ends of a spectrum, just like our styles; one being extremely vivid with colors and the other being really monochramatic, full of black and whites. Though the words hue//monochrome doesn't necessarily define or limit each of our styles (cause hey, sometimes we definitely need both in our lives!), our basic outfits do revolve around it, creating a very contrasting way of dressing between the both of us.

And therefore, for our first post, we decided to dress up true to the title. Let's see if you can spot who is which! :p
